Stripe Integration

Vanio uses Stripe Connect for all payment processing. This provides PCI-compliant payment handling, multi-currency support, and automated payouts.

Setup

  1. Go to Settings > Payments
  2. Click Connect Stripe to create or link your Stripe account
  3. Complete Stripe's onboarding (identity verification, bank details)
  4. Start accepting payments

What Stripe Handles

  • Direct booking payments — Guests pay securely on your booking website
  • Security deposit holds — Pre-authorization that's released after checkout
  • Upsell charges — Early check-in, late checkout, extras through the guest portal
  • Refund processing — Full or partial refunds with tracking
  • Owner payouts — Automatic distribution to property owners

Security

  • Card data never touches Vanio's servers — handled entirely by Stripe
  • PCI DSS Level 1 compliant (Stripe's certification)
  • 3D Secure support for additional fraud protection
  • Dispute and chargeback management through Stripe Dashboard
