Getting Started

Connecting your Airbnb account takes just a few minutes and gives you immediate access to automated management features.

Step 1: Choose Your Connection Type

1. Go to Settings → Integrations in your Vanio AI dashboard
2. Click Connect Airbnb Account
3. Select your connection type:
   • Master Co-host — Full management permissions to send messages and update listings on your behalf
   • Full Access — Complete synchronization with AI message responses
   • Read-Only — Monitor bookings and messages without AI responding through Airbnb

Step 2: Authorize the Connection

1. Click Connect for your chosen access level
2. You'll be redirected to Airbnb's secure login page
3. Sign in to your Airbnb host account
4. Review and approve the permissions Vanio AI is requesting
5. Click Allow to complete the connection

Use Pre-Approval Strategically

Pre-approve inquiries from guests with good reviews and reasonable requests. For peak season or high-demand dates, consider sending custom special offers with premium pricing instead.

Set Smart Blocking Rules

When pre-approving guests, use the "Block instant bookings" option during busy periods to maintain control over your calendar while still offering fast responses to quality inquiries.

In Settings → Airbnb Integration, configure your preferences for handling booking changes:

• Auto-accept minor changes (like adding one night)

What happens if the connection fails? Vanio AI automatically attempts to reconnect and will send you an alert if manual action is needed. Your existing reservations and messages remain safe, but new updates won't sync until the connection is restored.

Can I disconnect and reconnect without losing data? Yes, all your imported reservations, messages, and property settings are preserved in Vanio AI even if you temporarily disconnect from Airbnb. Reconnecting will resume synchronization from where you left off.

How quickly do changes sync between platforms? Most updates sync within 1-2 minutes. Reservations typically appear in Vanio AI immediately, while message responses are usually delivered within 30 seconds of being approved or automatically sent. Pre-approvals and special offers are sent to guests within seconds of clicking send.

What if a guest doesn't accept my pre-approval or special offer? Both pre-approvals and special offers automatically expire after 24 hours if the guest doesn't accept. You'll receive a notification when this happens, and you can send a new offer or follow up with a message if needed.

What if I miss an alteration request? Vanio AI sends notifications through multiple channels (dashboard, email, mobile) to ensure you never miss important booking changes. If a request is time-sensitive, you'll receive escalating reminders until you respond.
