Noise & Climate Monitoring

Connect Netatmo sensors to monitor noise levels, CO2, humidity, and temperature. Get alerts when thresholds are exceeded.

What It Monitors

  • Noise levels — Measured in dB. Default alert threshold: 70dB
  • CO2 — Indoor air quality (warning at 1000ppm, critical at 1500ppm)
  • Humidity — Normal range: 30-70%
  • Temperature — Normal range: 15-30°C

Setting Up

  1. Install your Netatmo sensor at the property
  2. Go to Settings > Apps > IoT
  3. Connect your Netatmo account
  4. Assign the sensor to a listing
  5. Set alert thresholds

Noise Monitoring for Party Prevention

When noise exceeds your threshold:

  1. Alert triggers
  2. AI can auto-message the guest with a polite warning
  3. If noise continues, escalation steps follow
  4. All events are logged in the reservation timeline

Climate Monitoring

  • Guest comfort — Detect malfunctioning heating/cooling before complaints
  • Property protection — Catch frozen pipes or mold risk between bookings

Automation Integration

Noise and climate events can trigger workflows:

  • Noise above 75dB after 10 PM → automatic guest message
  • Temperature below 5°C → maintenance task created
  • Humidity above 80% → notification sent

Tips

  • Place sensors in common areas, not bedrooms
  • 70dB is roughly a loud conversation — adjust for your property
  • Noise alerts only fire during active reservations
