If you already run your properties on Vanio, turning on the staff and cleaning module takes about two minutes. Everything is already connected — your properties, reservations, guests, and payment accounts flow straight into the task system.

Turning it on

  1. Go to Settings → Staff & Tasks
  2. Click Enable Staff Module
  3. Confirm your time zone and default task offer window
  4. Save

That's it. From now on, every reservation automatically creates a turnover task scheduled between checkout and the next check-in.

What gets imported automatically

  • Properties — all active listings appear in the Staff module immediately
  • Reservations — past, current, and upcoming
  • Check-in / check-out times — used to schedule tasks
  • Mid-stay cleans — if the guest booked one, it's scheduled too
  • Access codes — shared with the assigned cleaner at the right moment
  • Guest count and stay length — used to pick the right checklist

What to do next

  1. Add your staff — go to Staff → Add Staff and invite your cleaners and maintenance crew
  2. Assign them to properties — open each property and pick the preferred cleaner
  3. Attach checklists — pick one of the templates or build your own
  4. Set payouts — choose hourly, per-task, or per-property rates

Once these are in place, tasks are generated and offered automatically for every new reservation.

Staying in sync

Any change you make to a reservation — new booking, cancellation, date change, early check-in — automatically updates the associated task. If a guest cancels, the task is canceled. If they extend, the turnover moves to the new checkout date. You never have to tell the staff module anything; it's already listening.

Common questions

Can I turn it off for specific properties? Yes. Open any property and toggle Auto-create tasks off. You can still manually create tasks for that property when needed.

Does this work with multiple calendars? Yes. If a property is listed on Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, and your direct site, tasks are scheduled from the merged calendar so turnovers never collide.

Does it cost extra? The staff module is included in your standard plan. Marketplace and payroll are pay-as-you-go.
