Finding Work on the Marketplace
The Vanio marketplace is an open pool of cleaning and maintenance jobs posted by hosts in your area. Anyone in the Vanio network can browse and claim them — so if you have free time, you can pick up extra work whenever you want.
Opening the marketplace
- Open the Vanio app
- Tap Marketplace at the bottom
- You'll see a map with every open job near you
Zoom and pan around the map, or switch to list view for a simpler scroll.
What each job shows
- Pay (base + any bonuses)
- Distance from your current location
- Scheduled date and time
- Task type (turnover, deep clean, maintenance)
- Rough neighborhood (full address after you claim)
- Host rating
- Estimated duration
Tap a job for the complete details.
Claiming a job
Tap Claim. The job is yours instantly — no bidding, no waiting. The host gets a notification, the address and access info are scheduled for release, and the task moves into your Today or Upcoming list.
Filters
Narrow the list to what you actually want:
- Distance (within X miles)
- Date (today, tomorrow, this week)
- Task type
- Minimum pay
- Duration
Save a filter as a Saved Search to reuse it without resetting each time.
Notifications
Don't want to check the app constantly? Turn on alerts on your saved searches. Every time a new job matches, you get an SMS or push. For even less effort, enable Auto-Match and Vanio sends matching jobs straight to you automatically.
Ranking and visibility
The marketplace is largely fair — every cleaner sees the same open jobs — but reliable cleaners get a small boost. Complete jobs on time, send good photos, keep your reliability score high, and you'll see popular jobs a few seconds before anyone else.
Fees
It's free to browse and claim. A small service fee is deducted from each job you complete and is shown clearly before you claim. No subscription, no ads, no upsells.
Common questions
Do I need to be a member of a specific team? No — the marketplace is open to any verified Vanio cleaner.
What if I claim a job by mistake? Cancel as early as possible so another cleaner can take it. Last-minute cancellations affect your reliability score.
Can I see a host's past work before claiming? Yes — tap the host rating to see their history with other cleaners.
Can I message the host before claiming? Tap Ask a Question on any listing. Your message goes to the host; they can reply before you decide.
