Accepting Tasks — Reply "1"

When a new cleaning or turnover is offered to you, you'll get a text message with the property address, date, time, and pay. Accepting the task is as simple as replying with a single character.

How to accept

When the offer arrives, just text back:

That's it. The task is yours. You'll get an immediate confirmation text with:

• The full address
• Check-in / check-out times
• Any special instructions from the host
• A link to the checklist
• Access code or lockbox info (released closer to the time)

How to decline

If you can't take the job, reply:

The task is immediately offered to the next available cleaner. No penalty, no awkward message — just tap and move on.

What if I don't reply?

If you don't respond within the offer window (usually 10-15 minutes), the task automatically passes to the next cleaner in the rotation. You won't lose standing for missing an offer, but replying promptly — even with a "2" — keeps you at the top of the list for future work.

Seeing all offers in one place

Open the Vanio app and tap Offers to see every open offer with full details before deciding. The app shows:

• Distance from your current location
• Estimated time to complete
• Pay for the job
• Any bonuses (same-day, back-to-back, tough turnover)

Tap Accept or Decline right in the app if you prefer not to text.

After you accept

The task moves into your Today or Upcoming list. You'll get reminders the day before and the morning of. When it's time to start, tap On my way so the host knows you're en route.

Common questions

Can I accept and then cancel? Yes, but do it as early as possible so someone else can pick it up. Cancellations close to the start time affect your reliability score.

What if I want to ask a question first? Reply with your question instead of "1" or "2". The host gets a notification and can answer directly in the thread.

Do I get paid automatically? Yes — as soon as you mark the task complete and your photos pass review, the payout is released.
