Instant Configuration Updates
Property and worker configuration changes now sync instantly across all systems, with advanced discovery settings to optimize market scanning performance.
Instant Configuration Updates
What it does
Your property and worker configuration changes now take effect immediately across all your vacation rental systems. Previously, updates could take up to 30 seconds to sync across your properties—now they happen instantly the moment you save them in Vanio AI.
Getting started
Instant updates work automatically with your existing settings—no setup required. Simply make configuration changes as you normally would:
- Go to Settings → Navigate to any configuration section (Properties, Workers, or Generation settings)
- Make your changes → Update property rules, worker assignments, or generation preferences
- Click Save → Your changes take effect immediately across all connected systems
- Verify instantly → Check your live properties to see changes applied in real-time

How it works
When you save any configuration change in Vanio AI, the system automatically broadcasts the update to all your connected properties and worker systems in real-time. You'll see a brief confirmation message when changes sync successfully.
What happens automatically:
- Configuration changes broadcast instantly to all properties
- Worker systems receive updates within milliseconds
- Generation rollover changes take effect immediately
- All systems stay perfectly synchronized
- Backup polling ensures 100% reliability
You don't need to refresh pages, wait for sync periods, or manually update individual properties. Everything stays coordinated automatically.

Discovery Configuration
You can now fine-tune how Vanio discovers new properties in each market through advanced discovery settings. These controls help optimize property search performance while reducing unnecessary scanning:
Market Discovery Settings:
- Minimum listings for inclusion — Set the minimum number of existing properties required before Vanio will scan a market (default: 500)
- Freshness window — New markets within this timeframe are always scanned regardless of performance (default: 24 hours)
- Yield threshold — Minimum percentage of successful discoveries required to continue scanning a market (default: 2%)
- Cooldown period for saturated markets — How long to pause scanning markets with low discovery rates (default: 7 days)
- Recent scan window — Prevents re-scanning markets that were recently processed (default: 6 hours)
To adjust these settings:
- Go to Settings → Property Discovery
- Configure market scanning → Adjust thresholds based on your market coverage needs
- Save changes → New discovery rules apply to the next property scan cycle

Tips & best practices
Make changes confidently: Since updates are instant, you can make configuration adjustments and immediately see their effects on your live properties. This makes testing and fine-tuning much more efficient.
Group related changes: While each individual change syncs instantly, consider grouping related configuration updates together to minimize the number of sync events across your property fleet.
Monitor after major updates: For significant configuration changes affecting multiple properties, take a moment to spot-check a few key listings to confirm everything looks correct.
Use during low-traffic periods: For major generation rollover changes, consider making updates during lower booking activity periods, even though the sync is now instantaneous.
Optimize discovery settings for your markets: If you operate primarily in established markets with many existing properties, consider raising the minimum listings threshold to focus discovery efforts on high-opportunity areas.

Common questions
What happens if I'm offline when I make changes? Changes save locally and sync automatically as soon as your connection returns. The system queues updates to ensure nothing is lost.
Do I need to update anything on my existing properties? No—instant sync works automatically with all your current properties and systems. There's nothing to configure or enable.
What if some properties don't receive an update? The system includes automatic backup polling that ensures all properties receive updates within minutes, even if the instant broadcast is missed. You'll be notified if any sync issues occur.
How do the discovery settings affect my property coverage? Discovery settings help Vanio focus on markets with the highest potential for finding new properties. Lower thresholds mean more comprehensive scanning but may impact search performance, while higher thresholds focus efforts on proven markets.
