Branded Connection Experience
Provide property managers with a secure, branded experience to connect their Airbnb accounts with real-time notifications keeping all integrations synchronized.
Branded Connection Experience
What it does
The Branded Connection Experience lets you provide your property managers with a seamless, professional way to connect their Airbnb accounts to your platform. Instead of sharing login credentials or navigating through generic connection pages, your users get a secure, branded experience that matches your company's look and feel—similar to how businesses connect their bank accounts through trusted payment processors. Property managers can now choose their preferred access level during connection, giving them more control over what permissions they grant.
Getting started
Step 1: Configure your branding settings
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Connection Branding
- Upload your company logo and choose your brand colors
- Set your default redirect URL (where users land after successful connections)
- Click Save Changes

Step 2: Set up connection flows for your users
- Navigate to Property Managers → [Manager Name] → Integrations
- Click Connect Airbnb Account
- The system generates a secure connection link branded with your company identity
- Share this link with your property manager, or they can initiate it directly from their dashboard

Step 3: Guide your users through the connection process
When your property managers click the connection link, they'll see:
- A branded welcome page with your company logo and colors
- Access level selection — they can choose between full access or read-only permissions
- Clear instructions about what permissions are needed for their selected access level
- A secure redirect to Airbnb for authorization
- A confirmation page to verify their account details
- Automatic return to your specified redirect URL
How it works
Once you've configured the branded experience, the connection process is completely automatic:
For your property managers:
- They see your branding throughout the entire connection flow
- Choice of access level — select full access for complete property management or read-only for reporting and analytics
- No need to share passwords or login credentials
- Clear visibility into what data access they're granting based on their chosen permission level
- Instant confirmation when the connection is successful
- Smooth authorization without redirect errors — we've resolved connection issues that previously interrupted the flow
For you:
- Real-time notifications when connections change — instantly know when new Airbnb accounts are connected or when existing connections are lost
- Automatic sync begins immediately after connection, respecting the chosen access level
- Connected services stay synchronized — third-party integrations automatically receive updates when accounts are connected or disconnected
- Full visibility into connection status, health, and permission levels
- Easy troubleshooting tools if connections need attention
Security features:
- All connections use industry-standard OAuth protocols
- Granular permission control — property managers grant only the access level they're comfortable with
- Session tokens expire automatically for security
- Users can revoke access at any time through their Airbnb account
- No sensitive credentials are ever stored on your servers

Tips & best practices
Create clear onboarding materials Prepare a simple guide or video showing your property managers what to expect during the connection process, including how to choose the right access level for their needs. Even though it's straightforward, a quick walkthrough builds confidence.
Help users choose the right access level Provide guidance on when to use full access (for complete property management) versus read-only (for reporting and analytics only). Most property managers will want full access, but read-only can be perfect for financial reporting or performance tracking scenarios.
Set helpful redirect URLs Consider where users should land after connecting—perhaps a dashboard showing their newly imported properties, or a "next steps" page with additional setup tasks.
Monitor connection health regularly Check your integration dashboard weekly to ensure all connections remain active. The system will alert you to any issues, but proactive monitoring helps catch problems early.
Communicate the security benefits Remind your property managers that this connection method is more secure than sharing passwords. They maintain full control, can choose their comfort level for data access, and can revoke access anytime through their Airbnb account settings.
Test the experience yourself Periodically go through the connection flow to ensure your branding displays correctly and the user experience remains smooth. Try both access levels to understand what your users will see.
Leverage automatic notifications Take advantage of the real-time connection updates to provide immediate support when accounts disconnect unexpectedly, or to welcome new users as soon as they complete their setup.
Common questions
What's the difference between full access and read-only connections? Full access allows complete property management through your platform—updating listings, managing bookings, adjusting pricing, and more. Read-only access provides visibility into property performance, booking data, and financial reporting without the ability to make changes. Property managers can choose what works best for their comfort level and use case.
What happens if a property manager's connection stops working? You'll receive automatic alerts about connection issues. From your admin dashboard, you can see exactly which connections need attention and guide users through reconnection if needed. Users can also reconnect themselves using the same branded flow, and they can change their access level during reconnection if desired.
Can property managers connect multiple Airbnb accounts? Yes, if a property manager works with multiple Airbnb host accounts, they can connect each one separately through the same branded experience. Each connection is managed independently with its own access level and sync settings.
How do I update my branding after it's set up? Go to Settings → Integrations → Connection Branding anytime to update your logo, colors, or redirect URLs. Changes apply immediately to all new connection flows, though existing connections retain their original branding until reconnection.
Will existing connections be affected by the new access level options? No, all existing connections continue working exactly as they did before. The new access level selection only applies to new connections. If a property manager wants to change their access level, they can reconnect through the updated flow.
How quickly are other services notified when connections change? Connected services receive instant notifications whenever accounts are connected or disconnected, ensuring your entire integration ecosystem stays synchronized in real-time. This prevents delays or confusion when property managers make connection changes.
I heard there were previous connection issues—are those resolved? Yes, we recently fixed a connection issue that was preventing some property managers from completing their Airbnb authorization. The authorization flow now completes smoothly without redirect errors, so your users should have a seamless experience from start to finish.
